Throughout my time in ministry I have honed my skills and grown in the gifts that I have been given. ECO’s ordination process and my own personal work have helped me to define these skills, gifts, and strengths through a variety of tools.

  • Clifton Strengths is an assessment tool that accounts for a person’s natural talents and the investment that they put into those natural talents to determine a person’s strengths in a way that accounts for both gifting and motivation.

  • Spiritual gifts are given to each believer for the purpose of equipping the saints and building up the kingdom. Lists of spiritual gifts can be found throughout the New Testament, but examples of these gifts are seen through the whole of Scripture and Church history. The Spirit of God bestows these gifts onto all believers, and we exercise our gifts and grow in them throughout our lives.

  • APEST is a ministry assessment emerging from Ephesians 4:7,11-12. Within this passage we find the fivefold ministry of APEST: apostolic, prophetic, evangelist, shepherd and teacher; But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned. It is he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be shepherd and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.

    • The Teacher-Prophet has a deep understanding of what God is calling us to. The TP is motivated to pursue the great ideas of Christianity and to explain how God’s truth calls and informs our involvement. The TP has a dynamic understanding of truth and an urgency to respond to the implications of truth. The Teacher Prophet is motivated to meet the needs of the kingdom and deep comprehension of why to support it.

  • The motivators assessment is intended to identify what are the things that you value. These motivators influence your personal, professional, social and every other part of your life because they influence what you view as important and what should or should not be paid attention to.
